When there’s evidence that natural therapies work just as well, if not better, than harsh pharmaceutical drugs and invasive procedures—why is that not being shouted from the rooftops?
The last thing you want is a veterinarian who speeds through your appointment without taking the time to address your concerns or thoroughly examine your pet.
Or, even worse, is unwilling to consider natural medicine when conventional options feel unreasonable or fail to help.
You're looking for a veterinarian who views evidence-based holistic veterinary medicine as an equal, rather than competitive, treatment option to high-quality conventional medicine.
And that's where I come in...
Erin Dresner, DVM, cVMA, DABVP
Meet Doctor Erin Dresner, a compassionate and dedicated holistic veterinarian with more than a decade of experience serving pets in the greater Houston area.
Erin founded Bloom Integrative Veterinary Care in 2020 because she desired the freedom to provide the level of care she expects for her own family - an approach that values patients as individuals, extends beyond the simple treatment of symptoms, and prioritizes natural therapies that are equally (if not more!) effective than conventional options.
Her practice is pleased to offer many natural therapies including acupuncture, chiropractic care, botanical medicine, nutritional counseling, and more. As one of fewer than 100 board-certified specialists in her field, Erin also possesses the unique expertise to blend these modalities with the highest quality conventional care if needed.
Erin's warm and empathetic communication style ensures that every patient receives bespoke care, addressing not only physical ailments but also emotional and environmental factors that contribute to their health. She encourages open dialogue with pet guardians, empowering them to make informed decisions and actively participate in their pets' well-being. She especially enjoys demystifying acupuncture, ensuring that families understand the benefits of this ancient practice in promoting pain relief, reducing inflammation, and enhancing overall vitality. It is this passion for nurturing genuine relationships that has blessed Erin with the opportunity to serve several families for many years - and some patients for their entire lives.
Erin also shares her expertise as an accomplished author and lecturer. She has contributed to veterinary journals and textbooks including The Feline Patient, Today's Veterinary Practice, The American Animal Hospital Association, and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and has served as a distinguished speaker for the American Association of Feline Practitioners and The House Call & Mobile Vet Conference. Additionally, she serves as an ABVP-Feline Practice Mentor for veterinarians seeking advanced board certification.
In her personal life, Erin is an enthusiastic native Texas gardener. Her family's homestead has earned certifications as a Wildlife Habitat through both Texas Parks & Wildlife and The National Wildlife Federation, as well as designation as a Monarch Waystation. She enjoys hiking, camping, and promoting stewardship of Texas wildlife. Above all, she is a wife, mother to two young children, and guardian to more than a few wonderful pets.
Erin is thrilled to partner with Living Holistic so that more patients may benefit from integrative veterinary care in a truly serene and healing environment.
